One of the major questions I continously get asked is which WoW guides do I recommend that are ACTUALLY useful and worth the cost. I have went through all of the ones that I have ever heard of and tried. Yes, I have what seems to wasted a lot of money on a bunch of crap guides before finding the few gems that are truly out there. This page is the results that I have discovered during "my journey".

I will list all the guides that I use pretty much on a regular basis, rated, and would recommend to my mother (if she played WoW), so you will not have to go through the trouble (and cost) of buying a bunch of guides that simply do not work. So I guess this really is what I would consider a guide of the World of Warcraft guides.

#1 Derek's Speed Leveling Guide Rating: 5/5 Price: $49.95 each SPECIAL! - Can get both Horde and Alliance for $65. ($32.50 each)

Derek has really done it again and this guide has really surpassed my expectations. He has really taken this to the next level with his TOTALLY IN-GAME WoW speed leveling guide. Many of you probably remember Derek from Derek's Gold Mastery Guide (that's why the name sounds famaliar). Not only is this guide completely in-game (no more alt+tab), but it is extremely easy to use and takes up hardly any space on your user interface in the game. You can also mark steps complete, hide steps you don't want to do, and also save your progress. That comes in extremely handy especially when leveling up more than 1 character at a time. His team of programmers are also going to continue to update the guide for you and make it better and better. Derek has really raised the bar with this one. #2 iDemise 1-70 HORDE & Alliance Leveling Guide Rating: 5/5 Price: $35.00 each NEW! - Move over Joana there's a new Horde guide in town!!

This is what I consider to be one of the best Horde & Alliance 1-70 WoW Guide on the market today. No, it isn't Brian Kopp's guide...it is iDemise 1-70 Horde & Alliance Powerleveling Guide. Don't get me wrong Brian Kopp has a great resource but iDemise has delivered more than I have ever thought possible. This guide has really got it together and even includes a great addon (MapMod) that will help guide you where you need to go to help so you won't be Alt-Tabbing back and forth as much as you do in Brian Kopp's guide. This guide also is a lot faster and requires less grinding (which is never fun for a long period of time). That, along with the fact that this guide was created by a professional gamer (and you can really tell) is why iDemise is #2 in my book.

#3 Derek's Gold Mastery Guide Rating: 5/5 Price: $47.00

Third on my list is not a powerleveling guide but a fantastic gold guide that has helped me get enough gold for my epic flying mount. It is another not-so-well known guide but it truly delivers. The guide is Derek's Gold Mastery Guide. This guide mostly focuses on how to make tons of gold using the AH. It does have some grinding spots in it as well but I found the best tips to be about making gold from the AH. Following the strategies for winning at the AH in this guide helped me reach the 5000g mark for my mount in about a week and a half. It would have been a lot faster if I could've played more during that time, but it was still nice to only have to login a couple hours a day to put up more auctions and to collect my gold from the mailbox (that is my favorite part).

#4 WoW Gold Secrets Guide Rating: 5/5 Price: $37.00

The fourth guide is another gold guide. It is the WoW Gold Secrets guide. This guide is one of the oldest premium guides for WoW, usually that means it is way outdated but Luke really has done tons of work and updates this guide quite frequently. As of this writing it is over 170 pages. This guide is for you if you prefer to grind out your gold instead of making it through the AH. The guide organization could use a little work but if you follow the table of contents you will be just fine. I have discovered some of the best grinding spots in this guide. I typically use the grinding locations in this guide when I don't want to take the time to make gold by playing the AH. (Yeah, I know...I'm lazy sometimes...)

#5 Brian Kopp's 1-70 Alliance Leveling Guide Rating: 4/5 Price: $37.00

Next on the list is Brian Kopp's 1-70 Alliance Powerleveling Guide. I found myself using this guide quite a bit and it has helped me reach level 70 on an Alliance character that I have. I used it a lot before I discovered iDemise's Powerleveling Guide and I really haven't used it much since then. Don't get me wrong it is still a really good guide and he has done a lot of updates to it and keeps it current. This is my third choice for a powerleveling guide for Alliance.

#6 Joana's 1-70 Horde Leveling Guide Rating: 4/5 Price: $37.00

Don't worry for all you Horde players out there, I actually prefer to play Horde and my main is Horde Tauren Warrior. You probably guessed by now that the next guide on the list is Joana's 1-70 Horde Leveling Guide. I actually was able to level up 2 Horde characters to 70 using this guide. (I'm starting to realize that I have waaaaay to many alts...) Joana's guide is good but I know prefer to use Derek's Speed Leveling Guide mentioned above. It doesn't get as high as a rating as the Alliance leveling guides because I really do think the Alliance guides have a bit higher quality to them. Joana's guide does get updated often and is kept current with all the changes in the game that happens just like the Alliance guides.
